Arvid Lindblad clinched victory in the F2 sprint race at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, beating Campos team-mate and fellow Red Bull junior Pepe Marti after a late safety car. In doing so, the Briton became the youngest F2 winner, at just 17 years of age. McLaren junior driver Alex Dunne completed the podium places at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Richard Verschoor and Roman Stanek finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Both had their races affected by penalties. The former was lost the win after the flag, whilst the latter was dropped down from second on the grid. There was a virtual safety car on the first lap after Cian Shields was spun into the wall on the outside of the first corner. At the start of lap 16, the fast-charging Jak Crawford, who will start the feature race from pole, lunged up the inside of Gabriele Mini, who had fallen back from the first row. The pair made contact through the mid-point of the corner, sending the American driver into a race-ending spin. The subsequent safety car period saw almost the whole field pit for fresh tyres, despite it not being mandated in the sprint. Verschoor was handed a late five-second time penalty for pushing another driver off the circuit, demoting him from first to fourth after crossing the line. The Dutchman was also noted for a safety car infringement and may face further penalties. Check out the full F2 sprint results from the Jeddah Corniche Circuit below. Jeddah F2 Sprint Race Results
