Mercedes' Most Affordable Car Is No More

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will soon be gone, with new crossovers and SUVs to replace it. In case you don't recall the model, the A-Class is a compact luxury sedan that was discontinued in the US after the 2022 model year. Based on the hatchback of the same name, it offered responsive engines with good handling and plenty of the finery for which Mercedes is known, but it just wasn't enough of a hit with US drivers. Currently, the most affordable option in the US is the C-Class, which starts at just under $50,000.
