It's a big deal when you're finally old enough to get a driver's license and take your Corolla for that first drive. Teens who live in the city might not be as excited, but for those who live elsewhere, especially in rural areas, it's their ticket to freedom. Once you pass the test, being able to get in the car and drive means you can visit friends and get a part-time job without having to worry about how you're going to get there each day. According to CarScoops, the State of Kentucky wants to give teens that freedom a little sooner by reducing the age for a learner's permit and a full unrestricted license.
