Juncos Hollinger adds Phillips, Edwards to leadership team

Juncos Hollinger Racing has added veteran race car designer and engineer Will Phillips to its NTT IndyCar Series program as its new head of trackside engineering, which follows the recent acquisition of David Brown as JHR's new technical director. The Ricardo Juncos- and Brad Hollinger-owned team also promoted Tom Edwards to team manager, reporting to team principal Dave O'Neill.

"Joining Juncos Hollinger Racing is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that is committed to excellence and innovation," said Phillips, who oversaw the creation and development of the Dallara DW12 chassis while employed by IndyCar. "I look forward to applying my experience to help JHR achieve its competitive goals."

Edwards has been within the JHR program since it absorbed Carlin Racing's equipment and a high volume of its IndyCar staff.

"I am honored to take on the role of team manager at Juncos Hollinger Racing," Edwards said. "There is boundless potential for growth and success in the years ahead, as I’ve seen firsthand during my nearly decade-long journey with JHR."

The new layers of technical and managerial depth are welcomed by O'Neill, who joined JHR last season after a long stint in Formula 1.

JHR is one of two teams with IndyCar seats left to fill. Sting Ray Robb has been confirmed in its second entry, but its primary car remains open.
