450 RACE RESULTS // 2024 CHARLOTTE SMX #1

Racing is here for the first Playoff round of the SMX series. Justin Cooper came in as the fastest qualifier followed closely by Jett Lawrence and Chase Sexton. The track seems to be in great shape for racing this afternoon with a unique split start to determine which riders will grab the holeshot. A few riders made mistakes on the track through qualifying where they would hit the ground hard. Will these riders be able to overcome the track and grab a win? 450 RACE RESULTS MOTO 1

Tomac is back and dominated the first moto.

Eli Tomac grabbed the holeshot and the early lead followed by both Jett and Hunter Lawrence and Chase Sexton. Ken Roczen started to also make moves forward getting around Sexton for fourth early. Eli Tomac began building a gap on the rest of the riders as Hunter Lawrence moved into second. There was a three-way battle for second as Hunter Lawrence, Jett Lawrence, and Chase Sexton all tried to move into position. As the race continued, there was not much of a change in positioning as Eli Tomac cruised in for a win.

Chase Sexton was pushing hard to catch the lead pack.

Hunter Lawrence proved he belongs up front.
