Daytime Program: Seattle

Seattle was a little more exciting than last week right? Just when you thought it would be a muddler, the SMX track crew did god's work by keeping the track great all night. We had one of the toughest tracks of the year Saturday night but it could have been so much worse if it wasn't for the Dirt Wurx guys! Since we normally shit on them, why don't we say "great job"! Kudios to them! Here is Daytime from The Emerald City.
Cooper Webb: The pistol shot is back and it was used by more than just Webb Saturday night. Just when you think Coop is out of it, he comes back and re-passes Roczen and Sexton to win the damn thing. As a guy who loves to race/ride it really is mind blowing that his mental state is so damn strong. He just refuses to let others into his head. Pass me, that's ok, I will pass you back. Have a foster lap time than me? Ahhhh, who cares, I will the main. Lose the heat race and get pistol'd? Should have took a head shot to knock me out. This is WEBB! Dude is an animal and that kind of shit is not taught. That is something you are born with. I wonder if us idiots will not pick him to win the title again next year when we do these preview shows before 2026 SX? We will all probably pick Jett or Sexton and Webb will just shove it up our asses later. Touche', Coop, touche.
Justin Cooper: All this crap talk on social media about Justin's chic got him fired up eh? The dude goes out and wins the heat and was in the mix for the win until he hit a tough block. What was funny is that Cooper changed his suspension setting for Seattle. Gilly asked Justin and Cooper if they wanted to try a new setting and Justin said "yes", but Webb said "no". After the heat race, Webb asked to change his spec to Cooper setting and BOOM! Webb wins the main event. However, I do think Justin is figuring out the 450 class and some of that spring speed that he had in the 250 class is coming around in the big boy class.
Chase Sexton: I don't think Chase has anything to be ashamed of after Seattle. Yes, he lost the main event but I still think he has the speed to challenge Cooper and if he can just get his starts dialed in a bit more, I think he can be a problem for Webb. It's also crazy to hear that Sexton might be going to Kawasaki next year. I just don't see why he would want to change platforms again after the orange bike is finally starting to come around! Plus the KTM is not changing next year! Must be A LOT of money if it's true.
Ken Roczen: AC separation and leads half the main. I also liked that he was blocking dudes when he kinda knew he was getting weaker. I like that he didn't just make it easy on the dudes. A 4th! With an injury. Going to be cool to see him on Ducati next year!
Justin Starling: I just want to give a shout out to Starfighter. Justin has been plugging away and making mains plus the dude has been doing this forever. What sucks is that these types of guys like Justing DO NOT get enough credit on how good they are at SX. Starfighter is a great rider and is one of the best looking privateers on the circuit. Dude has great technique and is gear septs always look clean.
Cole Davies: I think Cole has some of that Jett technique and to win in his first year of SX is not great news for dudes in this class in 2026. Say what you want about the Star Racing Yamaha team, but they make champions and even though Davies was Blair's rider, the blue guys pushed him into this spot.
Garrett Marchbanks: Nice to see Gargamel get on the box and keep Mitch happy. Garrett has the speed to win but being a bigger lad needs more holeshots to keep these D&R kids at bay a bit. I do know that Mitch has found some new HP's in this 2025 KX250 so Garrett isn't lacking power, but more of the confidence to bring one of these wins home. I have also seen Tickle helping Garrett around the local tracks here in So. Cal so when they mentioned this on the broadcast it was nice to see the Tick got a little credit for his great ride.
Deegan/Beaumer: I don't care who you are, this is awesome. I am here for the drama post race and I love the banter. It makes our sport more interesting from the outside and not so boring. I honestly don't mind Deegan's vocal post race words as it is entertaining to listen to . I also think that kid is cocky but he also backs it up. I also think it's cool that he congratulates his teammate on the win and isn't being a little bitch about it. Ju Ju is also awesome because he's not scared to give it back to Deegs. I am just here for all of this. That is all.
Jo Shimoda: Jo was getting me all excited about his DGAf moves on Deegs but then it fizzled out. I think jo wants to show 38 that he is not scared of him but I think deep down he still is a bit. You can see him make these moves and then almost seize up a little after he does make these moves on Deegs. I want to see some more of that sushi dip and split in order to show 38 that he can't mess with him. Lars needs to give Jo a good ol' Mickey Goldmill pep talk before the main.
