Jago Geerts to race at Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop
Today at 01:39 PM
Jago Geerts from Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP will line up at the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop on Sunday, February 23. Geerts is considered one of the best sand riders in the world.
Throughout his MX2 career, Geerts won 24 Grand Prix races and finished as the runner-up four times and third once in the World Championship standings.
Last year, he impressed in Lierop by leading for a long period in the second race of the 500 class before Jeffrey Herlings overtook him. After setbacks in 2024, Geerts is highly motivated to have a strong season in 2025.
In Lierop, he will face competition from Glenn Coldenhoff, Roan van de Moosdijk, Brent van Doninck, Adam Sterry, Micha Boy de Waal, Sven van der Mierden, Freek van der Vlist, and other top Dutch riders.
But more top riders will be coming to Lierop, including world champions and several riders who have won Grand Prix races in the past. We will announce these names in a future update.
