KAWASAKI STOP-SALE ISSUED FOR 2025 KX450 MODELS

Over the weekend, Kawasaki owners began receiving letters concerning the reliability of their 2025 Kawasaki KX450. Unfortunately, Kawasaki’s quality assurance team noticed some irregular wear on the primary gear of their KX450 models during some routine durability testing.

Kawasaki has issued a stop-sale notice for their 2025 KX450, KX450X and KX450SR models, but it’s not a “stop-ride” notice, meaning that this isn’t a full recall of all previously sold KX450 bikes.

As of now, 2025 model Kawasaki KX450 owners are encouraged to check their VIN with their dealer to see if they should be worried. The notice also explains that the dealers don’t have repair information yet, but that they’ll get it in mid-April.
