In This Week in MXA, episode 222, presented by O’Neal, MXA’s Trevor Nelson and Josh Fout shake down the new 2025 Honda CRF450RX and 2025 Honda CRF250RX on some dusty trails in Southern California. MXA rated the Honda CRF450 highly within our 2025 MXA 450 Shootout (it placed second) and we were excited to see how the cross-country version, with an oversized tank, 18-inch rear wheel, softer suspension settings, mellower ECU mapping, hand guards and more, would handle on the trails. MXA’s Trevor Nelson has spent a generous amount of time on the previous-generation 2023 Honda CRF250RX. Trevor Ironman’d the 24 Hours of Glen Helen two years in a row on it. In this video, Josh and Trevor compare the two bikes and share their first ride opinions on both of them.
