Canter Power Systems to sponsor Casey Mears at Martinsville

A leader and expert in Generac generators, Canter Power Systems is excited to announce its sponsorship of Garage 66 and driver Casey Mears at Sunday‘s Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race. The Canter Power Systems branding will be featured on the hood of Mears‘ No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Canter Power Systems has been in business since 1948 and has become the nation‘s largest Generac home backup generator dealer, installer, and maintenance provider. They provide peace of mind with backup power that safeguards your livelihood and the comfort of your home.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Garage 66 and Casey Mears for the upcoming Martinsville race," said Brian Lopatka, CEO of Canter Power Systems. "At Canter Power Systems, we seek new ways to amplify our brand and connect with our audience. This sponsorship not only aligns with our commitment to innovation and excellence but also allows us to engage with NASCAR fans in a meaningful way. We are confident this partnership will deliver powerful results both on and off the track, and we‘re only getting started.”

With 489 NASCAR Cup Series starts to his credit, Mears will arrive in Martinsville in pursuit of 500, a mark eclipsed by only 47 other drivers in the sport‘s history. He looks forward to having Canter Power Systems along for the ride.

"I appreciate the support of Canter Power Systems and look forward to a productive weekend at Martinsville, "Mears said. "Canter is an expert in the generator industry and is dedicated to providing personal, reliable and high-quality service. I‘m proud to have them onboard."

Mears carries with him one of the most recognized names in auto racing. A NASCAR Cup Series winner, he has also captured four Cup Series Pole Awards, including the 2004 Brickyard 400, where he set the track record. Versatility being a cornerstone for Mears, he was the first full-time NASCAR driver to achieve an overall victory at the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona (2006). In his return to desert racing in 2019, he won his class and finished third overall at the NORRA 1000, before posting a 12th place finish in the highly challenging Trophy Truck Class at the famed Baja 1000, which he ran in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024.

Casey Mears will hit the paperclip-shaped half-mile oval at Martinsville Speedway for the weekend‘s opening practice session on Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. ET. Qualifying will follow at 3:10 p.m. ET.

The Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race is on Sunday, March 30, and it will be televised live on FS1 beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The Motor Racing Network (MRN) will carry the live radio broadcast, along with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
