Ross Chastain spins Chase Elliott on lap 1 in the NASCAR race; Elliott suggests payback
Today, NASCAR Cup Series drivers are running their first road course race of the 2025 season. And, things are off to a rough start for Chase Elliott.

On lap 1, Ross Chastain drove it deep to the inside in turn one. He drove into Chase Elliott, turning him around.
Chase Elliott checked with his team to make sure he wasn’t at fault.
No. 9 Team Radio: “No, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just stupidity. We’re going to have to pay people back. When we get a chance to send him, we’re sending that No. 1 car.”
Chase Elliott: “That’s totally fine. I’ll do what I need to do. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t in the wrong before I do it.”
It appears Elliott has plans of payback.
