Tyler Ankrum’s time in round one has been disallowed. When drivers pull to the end of the pit lane they’re suppose to come to a stop next to an official. He passed the official and then came to a stop but it was about 10 feet too late. Ankrum stated that he had a brake issue.
Stewart Friesen will not be allowed to qualify. The team left a wedge adjustment hole open accidentally. They placed a piece of tape over the hole on the pit lane just ahead of qualifying. NASCAR ruled that as an unapproved adjustment.

Johnny Sauter will not turn a lap in the second round of qualifying. The team has a tire rub after the lap in round one.
Ben Rhodes will start from the pole position at Daytona International Speedway! He turned a laptime at 50.995 seconds.
