Former NASCAR team owner loses home; Suffers from burns

Bob Rahilly was transported to a burn unit after a fire at his North Carolina home
Bob Rahilly is the former owner of Rahmoc Enterprises which opened in 1978. The team was in operation until 2018 and picked up four NASCAR Cup Series wins.
Rahilly currently works as a crew member for NY Racing. The team fields a truck in select NASCAR Truck Series events.
He suffered serious burns during a housefire in North Carolina earlier this month. The fire in Union County has left him with third-degree burns.
Bob has been sent to the burn unit in Wake Forest, NC. It’s speculated he could be there for 2 months.
The fire began early morning on January 12th. It was extinguished by the Hemby Bridge Fire Department.
FDNY Racing
FDNY Racing posted the following updates:
“Thoughts and Prayers out to one of our FDNY Racing Crew member,” FDNY Racing stated via X on Jan 12.
“Our own Bob Rahilly was injured in a housefire yesterday afternoon and is in the hospital still with 3rd degree burns and injuries. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with him at this time.”
They added on Jan 15, “Update: Bob will be sidelined for 2 months in a burn unit in Wake Forest. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob, his partner, and his brother Richard at this time.”
Rahilly has four wins as a NASCAR Cup Series car owner. Neil Bonnett drove the car to victory lane in all four.
