Add Joey Logano to the list of NASCAR drivers frustrated with Ross Chastain
Joey Logano is the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion. However, in the first six races of the 2025 season, Logano finished outside the top-10.
At Martinsville Speedway, Logano spent most of the day toward the front of the field. And, in the end, netted his first top-10 of the year.
However, he’s still not happy.
On lap 317 of 400, Ross Chastain threw a big block on Chase Briscoe into turn three. Briscoe drove it deep into the corner anyway, tagging Chastain in the bumper.
However, Briscoe jumped the inside curbing and got loose in the process. As he gathered it up, he skates up the track and into the left rear of Logano.
Logano was sent spinning from 6th place.
Kevin Harvick stated, “Well, here we are, last stage of the race. Joey Logano has done a great job all year long. It seems like every single time we get toward the end of these races, that No. 22 car has something that has kept them getting a top-10.”
After the race, Briscoe walked over to Logano’s No. 22 car and the two drivers talked it out.

“Ross just sticking it in a tight spot,” Joey Logano told Bob Pockrass after the race.
“He did it to me the restart before and you know, I can’t even blame Briscoe for shipping him.”
“I think he got himself in a bind trying to ship him. He just races like a jackass every week and I keep paying the price.”
“And, I’m sick of paying the price. That’s twice in the last three weeks, so that’s the deal.”
Logano added, “Another race we had to recover.”
