Justin Haley, Michael McDowell set to run NASCAR Truck Series

Michael McDowell is running his first NASCAR Truck Series race since 2009

Justin Haley and Michael McDowell will each race full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025. Both will also pilot machines fielded by Spire Motorsports.

Now, each of them have also entered the season opening NASCAR Truck Series event. They’ll race at Daytona International Speedway.

Spire Motorsports will field the truck entries.

Haley will drive the #7 entry. While McDowell will pilot the #07.

Rodney Childers makes the move to Spire Motorsports

Haley has not raced in the NASCAR Truck Series since 2020. His last full-time Truck Series season was in 2018 where he picked up three wins for GMS Racing.

McDowell hasn’t raced in the Truck Series since 2009. And he only has two starts ever in the division with a career-best of 14th with ThorSport at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

2025 marks McDowell’s first year with Spire Motorsports. He ran the previous 7 seasons with Front Row Motorsports.
