Kris Wright is set to make his mark with Our Motorsports in 2025, as the 30-year-old driver takes the wheel of the No. 5 F.N.B. Corporation Camaro SS for a full season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).
A family-owned team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Our Motorsports was founded in 2020 by Massachusetts businessman Chris Our and is co-owned by his daughter, Mary Our. What began as a venture into modified racing at local New England tracks has evolved into a competitive force in NASCAR. In 260 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Our Motorsports has recorded nine top-five finishes and 40 top-10 finishes.
In 2024, the single-car team consistently flirted with being inside the NASCAR Playoff cutline, showcasing its competitiveness throughout the season.
"As we build on our successful 2024 season, we look forward to bringing Kris Wright in as our driver for 2025," said Chris Our, co-owner of Our Motorsports. "Kris is coming off his best season in NASCAR and ARCA Menards Series competition, and we are excited to compete together next year. Our goal remains the same: finish every lap and every race on the schedule."
"I am thrilled to join Our Motorsports for the 2025 season," said Kris Wright. "I‘m equally excited to make my return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series and look forward to hitting the road for 33 weeks to take on the challenges of a full season together."
In 2024, Wright competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series while making select starts in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS). He finished third in the overall ARCA Menards Series driver standings, earning eight top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.
The Pittsburgh, Pa., native made his NASCAR national series debut on August 16, 2020, in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway Road Course. Wright transitioned to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021, competing in a limited schedule across two seasons with 16 total starts. His rookie NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign included seven road course events, highlighted by a career-best 17th-place finish at the Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International. In 2022, Wright expanded his schedule with 17 starts in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and nine appearances in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, showcasing his versatility across multiple disciplines.
Pittsburgh-based F.N.B. Corporation, a longtime partner of Kris Wright, will return as the primary sponsor of the No. 5 Camaro SS for the 2025 season. This marks the company‘s sixth consecutive year in NASCAR, highlighting its steadfast support of Wright.
