NASCAR viewership numbers for Bowman Gray Stadium

The first race of the 2025 NASCAR season is in the books. On Sunday, Bowman Gray Stadium hosted The Clash featuring the NASCAR Cup Series.

The race on the 1/4-mile bullring was an exhibition race with no points attached. It marked the first Cup Series event at the famed short track since 1971.

3.08 million fans tuned in to watch on average. It brought a rating of 1.55 according to Adam Stern.

Last year, the event took place at the LA Coliseum and brought in 1.511M viewers on average. The 2025 event saw a steep increase in viewers over 2024.

The 2024 race was shown via FS1. While this year, it was broadcast via FOX.

The Clash made it’s first appearance at the LA Coliseum with the 2022 season. That event was also shown on FOX but it brought a significantly larger audience at 5.283M.

The race was the second most-watched sporting event of the week. While the PGA Tour grabbed the most viewers to win the week.
