North Wilkesboro‘s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race will have a new name, with Window World being named the entitlement sponsor for the Window World 250 on May 17.
North Wilkesboro-based Window World began its relationship with North Wilkesboro Speedway in 2022, when the track‘s sold-out zMAX CARS Tour event on Aug. 31, 2022, was known as the Window World 125. North Wilkesboro‘s commitment to partnering with businesses in the community led to a continuation of the relationship, with Window World‘s move to sponsoring one of NASCAR‘s premier series events coming less than three years later.
“At Window World, we are proud to be deeply rooted in the community of North Wilkesboro, and sponsoring the NASCAR Truck Race at the iconic North Wilkesboro Speedway is a true honor," said Window World CEO Tammy Whitworth.
"This event is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of the passion, and history that defines this town and its people. As a national company, headquartered in North Wilkesboro, we are committed to supporting events that bring people together, boost our economy, and highlight the incredible spirit of North Wilkesboro. The NASCAR Truck Race is an exciting opportunity for us to give back and showcase the pride we have in our hometown.”
The Truck Series‘ return to North Wilkesboro in 2023 — part of NASCAR‘s first race weekend at the track since 1996 — saw Kyle Larson claim his first of two victories on All-Star weekend. Corey Heim triumphed in last year‘s running, with this year‘s event set to mark the Truck Series‘ fifth visit to North Wilkesboro.
The Window World 250 — one of the most prominent events during NASCAR All-Star Race weekend — goes green at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. Fans can buy tickets to the race as well as camping, weekend packages, single-day tickets and more by visiting www.northwilkesborospeedway.com.
