Australian WorldSBK, Race Two Results | Nicolo Bulega completes a career first triple, Ducati lockout the top six

Ducati domination was summarised in Race Two at Phillip Island as they claimed the top six places.
Nicolo Bulega has completed a career-first triple at Phillip Island as claimed victory in Race One, the Superpole Race and Race Two. The Italian has had a dominant start to the 2025 season and is the clear title favourite at this early stage.
The Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Team had a 1-2 finish on Sunday afternoon as Alvaro Bautista finished in second. The Spaniard had two podium finishes this weekend but could not lay a glove on his teammate.
Completing a full Ducati podium was Andrea Iannone on the Team Pata GoEleven Ducati. The Italian claimed two podiums on Sunday after a difficult Race One on Saturday.
Scott Redding narrowly missed out on a podium once again. However, on the timesheets he was classified as 8 seconds behind Bulega as he picked up a pit lane penalty for leaving too early.
Ten seconds behind Bulega was the Barni Spark Racing Team rider, Danilo Petrucci. The #9 finished in fifth place and has been competitive across the whole weekend.
Ducati's dominance is clear to see as they locked out the top six positions at Phillip Island. Sam Lowes was the final Ducati in the top six as he battled with Petrucci for a top-five finish.
Andrea Locatelli was once again the top non-Ducati at Phillip Island as he finished in seventh. The Pata Maxus Yamaha rider usually has his best results in Australia but has had a difficult weekend.
The Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team had to settle for eighth place once again at Phillip Island. The top KB998 Rimini was Alex Lowes, he had three consistent finishes of eighth, seventh and eighth.
World Superbike rookie, Yari Montella, was the seventh Ducati in the top ten in Race Two. The Italian finished in ninth place but was 11.202 seconds behind race winner Bulega.
Axel Bassani completed the top ten on the KB998 Rimini, the Italian was 0.8 seconds behind his teammate. However, it has been a promising start for the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team.
British rider Ryan Vickers claimed more points on his first visit to Phillip Island as he finished in 15th. However, the other British rider, Tarran Mackenzie, did not finish the final race of the weekend.
Reigning World Superbike Champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu, did not finish the final race. The Turkish rider appeared to have a technical issue after his pit stop and retired from the race.
