After suffering a training injury, Toprak Razgatlioglu will miss the first test of the 2025 World Superbike season.

The 2025 World Superbike Champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu, will miss next week's Jerez World Superbike Test.

GPOne has reported that the Turkish rider picked up an injury to his index finger after a training crash. The two-time World Superbike Champion had to undergo surgery to fix the injury ahead of the 2025 season.

Razgatlioglu and BMW are hoping that their lead rider will be available for the Portimao Test later this month.

Testing duties will now fall to Michael van der Mark and the BMW test riders, Sylvain Guntoli and Markus Reiterberger.

The German manufacturer will not be the only World Superbike manufacturer at Jerez for the two-day test.

BMW's closest contenders, Ducati will be on track across the two days. The factory Ducati riders of Nicolo Bulega and Alvaro Bautista will be joined by the whole Ducati roster. Barni Spark Racing's Danilo Petrucci and Yari Montella will be on track, as well as Motocorsa's Ryan Vickers, GoEleven Ducati's Andrea Iannone, Marc VDS Racing's Sam Lowes and MGM Bonovo's Scott Redding.

Bimota will also be on track with Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani, as well as Kawasaki's rider, Garrett Gerloff.

Honda will be present with Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge and their satellite Petronas MIE Racing Honda Team of Tarran Mackenzie and Zaqhwan Zaidi.

Yamaha had an underwhelming 2024 season but wants to bounce back in 2025. The Jerez test will be important for Yamaha factory riders Jonathan Rea and Andrea Locatelli. GYTR GRT Yamaha Racing riders, Dominique Aegerter and Remy Gardner will participate in the test. The new Motoxracing duo of Tito Rabat and Bahattin Sofuoglu will also be on track.
