Eurosport will no longer exist as of the 28th of February, what is next for World and British Superbikes in the UK and Ireland?
There will be major changes for World Superbike and British Superbike fans in the UK and Ireland, due to a TV change then fans must watch the Championships in a new way.
As of the 28th of February 2025 Eurosport, the channel which showed World Superbikes and British Superbikes in 2024, will no longer exist. The channel will be absorbed into TNT Sports next month.
This major decision was made by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), the parent company of Eurosport and TNT Sports.
Eurosport had been available to Sky TV and Virgin Media customers in the UK at no extra cost. However, with this new merger, this will no longer be available. Fans will now have to purchase a TNT Sports package, which costs £30.99 per month.
There will be no change to the MotoGP World Championship coverage in 2025, which is already shown on TNT Sports.
"We don't produce programmes thinking as TNT Sports or Eurosport, we produce them as WBD," Scott Young, group SVP, content, production and business operations, WBD Sports Europe told Broadcast Sport.
"We need a single destination for that content in the UK and Ireland. The move will bring an increased audience to what's currently on Eurosport and will simplify our branding."
