Yamaha announce their 2025 World Supersport lineup

The 2025 Yamaha World Supersport lineups have been announced ahead of a pre-season test in Cremona.
Yamaha Motor Europe has announced their 2025 World Supersport lineup, which will feature three teams.
These three Yamaha-supported teams will all receive the all-new Yamaha R9 World Supersport machine.
Pata Yamaha Ten Kate:
The Pata Yamaha Ten Kate squad will continue to field two R9 machines in the 2025 series. The Dutch team have re-signed Stefano Manzi, who will compete in his third season with the team.
Along with the Italian in Ten Kate the 2024 All Japan Road Racing Champion, Yuki Okamoto, will make his World Supersport debut.
GMT94 Yamaha:
The GMT94 Yamaha squad will upgrade from a one-rider team to a two-rider lineup. The former World Supersport Champion, Lucas Mahias, will remain with the team.
However, the former World Superbike race winner, Michael Ruben Rinaldi, will bolster the French team in 2025. The Italian will make his debut in the Supersport class after leaving Superbikes at the end of the 2024 season.
Evan Bros:
The Evan Bros team will undergo major changes in 2025. The Italian team will join the Yamaha bLU cRU program and prioritise bringing new talent into World Supersport.
One of their riders in the 2025 season will be the former Red Bull Rookies Cup Champion, Can Öncü. The former Moto3 race winner will switch from Kawasaki to Yamaha for the first time in his Supersport career.
Alongside Öncü will be the 2024 Supersport 300 World Champion, Aldi Satya Mahendra.
