Tesla noted on its year-end milestone report that the Model Y is on track to become the world’s best-selling vehicle by volume in 2024.
The Model Y’s sales milestone in 2023 felt like a lightning strike in the automotive sector. If Tesla’s estimates prove accurate, lightning might strike the same place twice in the EV world this year.

- This effectively made it the world’s best-selling car by volume for 2023.
- Tesla’s estimates suggest that the Model Y is about to claim the title of world’s best-selling car by volume for two years running.
- That’s a very impressive achievement for a premium all-electric vehicle.
