Formula 1 team bosses gather in Italy: official photo goes viral on social media

The F1 Commission meets in Italy, in Faenza: at the table were all the team principals involved in Formula 1, along with chief executive officer Stefano Domenicali and representatives of the International Federation. It was an opportunity to hear the teams’ requests and jointly study the best strategy to facilitate the introduction of the new regulations in 2026. The official photo has already gone viral on Racing Bulls’ social media.

The F1 Commission is the most important body introduced with the Concorde Agreement. A meeting that includes all the key figures of the paddock, who gather to make decisions on sporting and regulatory matters. These decisions must then be ratified by the governing bodies of the International Federation to become effective.

The meetings are attended by all the team principals of the ten teams, signatories of the Concorde Agreement; Stefano Domenicali is also present, representing the holder of commercial rights for FOM; and Nikolas Tombazis, director of single-seaters for the International Federation, is also in attendance. During the summer, the commission met in London to define some of the decisions later ratified in Faenza.

In the Italian town, on October 2, the meeting defined the duration of the 2026 pre-season tests (which will increase to three sessions of three days each), as well as a general simplification of the technical regulations and the first steps on how the budget cap will work for the upcoming seasons.

In the photo posted on Racing Bulls’ social media, the entire commission is seen at the work table: the trio of “Italians,” Andrea Stella, Mattia Binotto, and Frédéric Vasseur, sit together, next to James Vowles, Toto Wolff, and Ayao Komatsu. On the other side of the table is the Red Bull family, with Christian Horner, Laurent Mekies, and Peter Bayer, alongside Oliver Oakes and Mike Krack.
