The Formula 1 grid will welcome another rising star in 2025 as Isack Hadjar, a standout talent from the Red Bull junior programme, is promoted to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.

The 20-year-old Frenchman will join Yuki Tsunoda at the sister Red Bull team, marking another significant step in his meteoric racing career.

Hadjar's promotion continues the Red Bull Junior Program's legacy of fostering world-class talent, with the likes of Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel, and Daniel Ricciardo having paved a similar path to F1.

For Hadjar, who finished runner up in this year's FIA Formula 2 Championship with Campos Racing with four, the move is a culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

"I'm very excited to step into my new role at VCARB," Hadjar said, reflecting on his achievement. "This is huge for myself, my family, and all the people who have believed in me from the beginning.

"The journey from karting through the ranks in single-seaters, to now being in Formula 1 is the moment I've been working towards my whole life – it is the dream.

"I feel like I'm stepping into a whole new universe, driving a much faster car and racing with the best drivers in the world. It'll be a huge learning curve, but I'm ready to work hard and do the best I can for the team."

Hadjar's rise to Formula 1 has been fueled by his impressive performances in junior categories. His standout moments in Formula 2 included victories at iconic circuits like Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, and Silverstone, solidifying his reputation as one of the sport's most promising young talents.

At VCARB, Hadjar will partner with Tsunoda, whose experience in F1 and with the Red Bull program provides an ideal foundation for the young driver's growth.

"I look forward to working with and learning from Yuki," Hadjar said.

"I've always looked up to him. He went through the Red Bull Junior Program, like myself, and we've shared a similar path to F1. He's very experienced and will be good to learn from."

Laurent Mekies, VCARB Team Principal, expressed confidence in Hadjar's ability to adapt to the challenges of Formula 1 and contribute to the team's success in 2025.

"We're excited to have Isack with us next year, bringing a new and fresh dynamic to the team alongside Yuki in 2025," Mekies said.

"His journey to Formula One has been nothing short of outstanding. He has shown remarkable growth, with a series of impressive results in the junior single-seater ranks.

"He has the talent and drive necessary to compete at the highest level, and we have every confidence that he will adapt quickly and make a significant impact."

Mekies also highlighted the importance of Tsunoda's experience in helping the team achieve its goals.

"I believe Isack and Yuki will make a great team. Yuki brings invaluable experience to the team, he's shown incredible resilience and maturity, which will be crucial for the team as we strive to hit all our aims and objectives in 2025," he added.

As Hadjar prepares for the next chapter of his racing career, he does so with the backing of one of the most successful talent pipelines in motorsport, a team eager to maximize his potential, and a partner in Tsunoda who offers a wealth of knowledge.

The 2025 season promises to be an exciting challenge for the young gun and a critical step in his quest to make his mark in Formula 1.
