RB to zip into Singapore F1 weekend with denim makeover

Visa Cash App RB will hit the track in style this weekend in Singapore, with its VCARB 01 contender sporting a one-off denim-effect livery designed in collaboration with its sponsor, fashion brand Hugo.
The unique look, which is sure to stand out under the dazzling night lights of the Marina Bay Circuit, transforms the usual livery into a playful nod to classic denim fashion.
The car's traditional blue and silver color scheme has received a makeover that features a light-blue, stonewashed denim overlay on the nose and sidepods that contrasts with a darker blue denim area located atop the chassis that runs down the sides and that is also featured on the car's endplates.
To add to the denim theme, a clever stitching effect has been incorporated into the design, seamlessly blending the two shades of blue and giving the car a tailored appearance, while a zip detail runs along the top of the sidepods for a vintage touch.
The signature metallic blue and silver touches of RB's usual livery remain around the cockpit, halo, and engine cover, keeping some of the team's traditional look intact.
But the denim theme doesn't stop with the car. Visa Cash App RB Racing's pit garage will also get the denim treatment, with custom-designed furniture to match the team's stylish look.
As for Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, RB's chargers take the fashion statement to the track, sporting throughout the weekend special race suits inspired by the denim design.
"Over the years we've seen fashion brands join forces with F1 teams and drivers, especially when it comes to outfits, but never have we seen any of them take this step in full immersing themselves on track too," commented Ricciardo.
"We're really raising the stakes here and paving the way, showcasing that there's so much more that can be done for brands to explore.
"I think we're definitely going to open the eyes of these fashion houses and see more fashion-inspired liveries come to life."
