Red Bull Racing has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency firm Gate.io, filling the void left by the departure of the team's previous crypto partner, Bybit.
The agreement, set to commence ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season, marks a significant collaboration between two entities renowned for their commitment to cutting-edge technology and innovation.
Talks between Red Bull and Gate.io began after it became clear that Bybit's three-year contract –reportedly worth a hefty $150 million – would not be renewed.
The team has now confirmed its new partnership, describing it as a "major milestone in uniting two industry leaders, both recognised for their relentless pursuit of performance, innovation, and cutting-edge technology—on the racetrack and in the digital economy."
Prominent Branding and Global Exposure
Gate.io branding will feature prominently on the Red Bull RB21, specifically on the front wing, rear wing, and headrest.
Additionally, the company's logo will be displayed on the race suits and team kit of reigning four-time world champion Max Verstappen and the Dutchman's new teammate, Liam Lawson.
Verstappen's helmet will also carry the Gate.io insignia, further solidifying the crypto firm's presence in the sport.
"We are very excited to welcome Gate.io to the team," commented Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.
"Gate.io are a brand that very much share Oracle Red Bull Racing's passion to exist at the forefront of technological innovation.
"Together, we look forward to building a more immersive and unique connection with the team for fans around the world and to working with a like-minded partner that isn't afraid to disrupt the status quo."
A Vision for Innovation and Performance
Dr. Lin Han, the founder and CEO of Gate.io, echoed Horner's sentiments, emphasizing the shared drive for technological excellence between the two entities.
"At Gate.io, we believe that innovation and performance go hand in hand – whether in blockchain or on the racetrack.
"Just as Oracle Red Bull Racing pushes the limits of engineering, we are continuously advancing blockchain technology to bring greater transparency, speed, and efficiency to digital finance."

Han also highlighted the growing role of blockchain beyond traditional finance.
"This partnership comes at a time when blockchain is moving beyond finance, and we're excited to explore new ways it can intersect with global industries like motorsport."
With this high-profile partnership, Red Bull Racing strengthens its ties to the digital finance world while ensuring a continued presence in the ever-evolving cryptocurrency space.
As the 2025 season approaches, the team's alliance with Gate.io signals an exciting fusion of motorsport and blockchain technology.
