Williams Racing will officially unveil its 2025 charger, the FW47, on Valentine's Day – February 14th – at Silverstone Circuit, a fitting venue as Formula 1 celebrates its 75th anniversary.
The unveiling will take place at a special event for fans, partners, and media, adding a touch of excitement to the build-up to the new season.
The FW47 will initially sport a unique one-off livery at the Silverstone event, designed to capture fans' imaginations and pay homage to the team's illustrious history.
The car's official race livery for the 2025 season will be revealed on February 18 during the groundbreaking Formula 1 season launch at London's The O2.
A Bold New Chapter for Williams
The 2025 season is shaping up to be a turning point for Williams under the stewardship of team principal James Vowles and the ownership of Dorilton Capital.
Furthermore, the addition of four-time race winner Carlos Sainz to the driver line-up, alongside Alex Albon, signals the team's intent to assemble one of the most competitive driver pairings on the grid.
Vowles expressed optimism and excitement about the year ahead.
"There is a tremendous amount to look forward to for Williams in 2025 – we have fantastic race drivers in Alex and Carlos, top engineers joining from across the grid and new facilities becoming operational at our Grove HQ," commented the Briton.
"As part of our comeback plan, we have been working on our 2025 car for some time and I can't wait to see it at Silverstone on February 14.
"Everyone in the team is giving everything to get this team back where it belongs as we head towards the major rule changes for 2026. It's going to be an exciting year."
Poised to Make a Strong Statement
Williams' story past as the third most successful team on the grid includes nine Constructors' Championships, seven Drivers' Championships, and 114 race wins.
"Everyone at the factory is working hard to get our car ready for the new season," added Albon ahead of his fourth season with Williams.
"Launching on February 14 should be a great way to start an important year for us as a team, fighting as hard as we can with both cars from the outset this year and looking forward to opportunities ahead in 2026.
"I can't wait to see the results of the teamwork and dedication that makes this team so special."
For fans and the wider F1 community, February 14 promises to be an emotional moment, blending nostalgia with a renewed sense of hope.
And the FW47 represents not only the next step in Williams' transformation but also the determination of a team dedicated to writing a new chapter in its storied legacy.
Sainz Ready to Push
Sainz is ready to embark on a new journey with Williams after his four-year tenure with Ferrari during which he delivered four Grand Prix wins to the Scuderia.
"It's an important time for the team and we are all going to push to bring Williams back to the front of the grid as soon as possible," said the Spaniard.
"I was very impressed with the team back in Abu Dhabi. After a long year, it was great to watch the motivation and effort that everyone put in at such an important test.
"Thanks to that, we've been able to put together a solid plan and we have already started working on it to make sure we are as prepared as possible ahead of the pre-season test and first race.
"We're not far away from the Silverstone car launch and I can't wait to see my new ride! 2025 will be an exciting year and we are fully committed to putting together a strong season. EAT ON!"
With a strong driver lineup, significant investments in infrastructure, and a renewed focus on performance, Williams is poised to make a strong statement in the 2025 season and beyond.
The unveiling of the FW47 will be a significant moment for the team and its passionate fanbase as they embark on this exciting new chapter in their history.
