Porsche, which is a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, owns a significant portion of Bugatti, which used to be one of Volkswagen's brands but now belongs to a joint venture with Rimac. However, if recent reports are to be believed, the Croatian supercar manufacturer wants to buy Porsche out entirely, putting cars like the Bugatti Tourbillon entirely within Rimac's control. If automotive taxonomy could be any more confusing, they'd teach it in AP Bio.
