The Iconic Renault Turbo Has Been Reincarnated, And It's Angry

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E was shown as a concept at the end of last year. It was amazing-looking, but something that outrageous surely wouldn't be produced. At least, it wouldn't come to production without being seriously watered down, right? Well, it turns out, Renault greenlit the Turbo 3E, and it's going to be way crazier than your typical hot hatches like the Civic Type R or GR Corolla. It makes nearly 540 horsepower, is rear-wheel-drive, and it shares basically nothing with the base Renault 5. It's a mad machine headed for track days in Europe in just a couple of years.
