Sir Lewis Hamilton's love life as he's spotted on lunch date with TV icon

Lewis Hamilton has been in two major public relationships in the past 10 years, but it looks as though things may be hotting up with a new familiar face.
Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, 51, and the Formula 1 racer, 40, have sparked romance rumours after being snapped on a lunch date together.
Reports suggested that the duo was flirty and couldn’t stop grinning at one another as they were joined by their friends for lunch in New York.
As the romance rumours have begun, some fans are curious about the bachelor’s romantic life and who he has dated during his years in the spotlight.
Here’s a breakdown of Sir Lewis’s relationships in the past 20 years.
2002
In 2002 it was reported that Sir Lewis dated model and former Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Danielle Lloyd, for about six months after they met in a nightclub.
‘We were both out with friends, but there was a bit of a spark, and we swapped numbers,’ Danielle later told the Daily Mail in 2007. ‘After that, I went back to Liverpool and he lived in London, but we stayed in touch.’
She then added: ‘He’s a special person, but there’s no more romance.’
2003–2007
When Lewis first started driving for Formula 1 in 2007, he was dating Jodia Ma. The couple met in Cambridge and were together for four years until their differing careers meant they grew apart.
Daily Mail in 2007: ‘We are still very good friends and we are still in contact with each other. Lewis is a very kind and caring person.
She explained they broke up: ‘We didn’t split up because there was anything wrong with our relationship, but rather because we both wanted to pursue our different careers.
‘I’ve never been involved with his career. To me, that would be like someone taking their partner to work in the office. We have both kept our careers separate. That’s the way we wanted it.’
2007–2015
For several years Nicole Scherzinger and Sir Lewis were an item and had an on-again-off-again relationship after they met at the MTV awards.
It was rumoured that at one point in their eight-year relationship, the pair was engaged, and Sir Lewis confirmed that it could be on the cards.
In 2013 he told The Sun: ‘We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone, really,” before adding that an engagement would be coming “hopefully in the near future… maybe before we get to six years.’
In a statement after their break up in 2015, Nicole said: ‘I'm devastated that it didn't work out. It was the hardest decision we had to make, but we made it together.’
‘I love Lewis, and I know he loves me. We wish nothing but happiness and the very best for one another. I'm trying to stay strong in my faith right now.’
2015-2016
In 2015, the F1 driver was snapped with a variety of famous faces, although none of the romances were ever confirmed.
Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, Barbara Palvin, and Rita Ora were just some of the women he was linked to at the time.
In 2016, he also seemed to be getting friendly with Winnie Harlow after the pair were snapped together at the GQ Men of the Year Awards.
The pair never confirmed or denied a relationship but were snapped spending time together in London, Cannes, Monaco, Monte Carlo, and Greece
2017-2022
Keeping his love life under wraps, the F1 star was linked to several women but didn’t officially confirm a relationship with any of them.
Sir Lewis was linked to Sophia Richie Grainge in 2017 after being seen spending time together after the Couture Fashion Week in Paris.
He was then linked to Nicki Minaj in 2018 and the pair shared snaps of their Dubai getaway together.
2023
Just a couple of years ago it was rumoured that Shakira and Sir Lewis were an item after the pair were seen out and about together.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Shakira was asked about her dating life and responded: ‘I'm not thinking about that.… What space do I have for a man right now?
‘What can I tell you, I like men,’ she added. ‘That's the problem. I shouldn't like them with everything that's happened to me, but imagine how much I like men that I still like them. But having a formal relationship, I think my kids would have to be very prepared for that, and their emotional and psychological well-being is the priority.’
2025
Sofia Vergara is rumoured to be Sir Lewis’s most recent love interest, but some sources have already claimed that the pair are just pals.
Speaking to Us Weekly, a source claimed that the gathering was ‘merely a casual lunch with a big group of friends in a group setting’ and ‘by no means a date.’
Speaking about his love life in previous years, Sir Lewis has said that his career makes romance difficult.
‘I learned the hard way,’ he said in an interview with Vanity Fair ‘I haven't talked about it much.’
‘I'm really just super focused on work. I've realized that I can't do two things or three things at once, I've got to focus on one.
He then added: ‘I really wanted to go through a growth process of getting myself to a point where I'm happy on my own, comfortable in my space. So that if I ever do meet someone, it's an addition, rather than “I need you in my life.”‘
The F1 driver is currently enjoying some downtime after signing with Ferrari and making his exit from Mercedes.
The Formula 1 season begins again in March with the Australian Grand Prix taking place in Melbourne from 14-16.
