2023 Hyundai Palisade recalled in Australia

The fault could cause a loss of power, according to the recall notice.

Hyundai has recalled 16 examples of its 2023 Hyundai Palisade, citing a potential fault with the engine valve springs.

The affected vehicles are stamped 2023 models with the 3.8-litre petrol V6 engine, but may have been sold at a later date.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, under certain conditions the engine valve springs may crack. If this occurs, the engine could stall resulting in a loss of motive power.

“A loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
