Cadillac is entering the Australian market with an all-electric line-up headlined by the new Lyriq large SUV, and it’s more affordable than first anticipated.
- 2025 Cadillac Lyriq pricing and specifications
- Two Cadillac Lyriq trim grades are available in Australia
- First deliveries to begin before the end of 2024
- Priced from $117,000 before on-road costs
The first 2025 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUVs will arrive in Australia before the end of 2024, with pricing for the large electric SUV undercutting initial expectations – and lower than key rivals from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi.
Cadillac is entering the Australian market with the factory-produced right-hand-drive Lyriq large electric SUV, set to compete against established luxury competition such as the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, the BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron.
Pricing for its rivals begins around $130,000 and can range up to $150,000 depending on specification and model, but the two-strong Cadillac Lyriq range costs between $117,000 and $119,000 before on-road costs.

The more affordable of the two is the Lyriq Luxury at $117,000 before on-road costs, while buyers can opt for the sportier aesthetic of the Lyriq Sport for an additional $2000.
Both specifications – Lyriq Luxury and Lyriq Sport – are powered by the same dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration fed by a 102kWh battery.
The Lyriq Luxury is typified by chrome accents on the exterior, whereas the Sport version gets darker trim, a unique grille, and black chrome finishes for the front and rear ends.
The Cadillac Lyriq will be sold in a “direct-to-customer” arrangement in which buyers specify their cars online and have them delivered through brand experience centres, initially planned for Sydney and Melbourne.
Customers can also have their cars delivered to their address, though the brand is planning a wider showroom footprint in the future.
The Lyriq is rated with a 530km electric driving range based on WLTP standards, while the maximum DC charge power is 190kW. Cadillac claims 128km of driving range can be added in just 10 minutes on a DC fast charger.
Total system outputs are 388kW and 610Nm, sent to all four wheels through a single-speed transmission.
Each specification benefits from a 33-inch widescreen infotainment and instrument display, 21-inch alloy wheels, a 19-speaker AKG sound system, a panoramic glass sunroof, and a hands-free power-operated boot.
Optional nappa leather upholstery is available at additional cost, and more than eight colour options are offered to Australian customers.
The Lyriq is covered by a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty in Australia and its high-voltage battery is warranted for eight years/160,000km (whichever is reached first).
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is due to arrive in showrooms before the end of 2024 and is available to order through Cadillac Experience Centres and online now.
