Geely’s EX5 electric vehicle line-up will consist of two variants, both with a 160kW/320Nm electric motor that drives the front axle.
Geely's 2025 EX5 electric family SUV will be offered in two forms, boasting a driving range rating of up to 430km, but pricing is still to be locked in for the incoming Tesla Model Y rival.
Both the base Complete and top-spec Inspire pack a single electric motor with a 160kW/320Nm output that drives the front wheels.
Each variant is also equipped with a 60.22kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, enabling driving range ratings of 430km and 410km respectively for the Complete and Inspire.
There is also a difference in straight-line performance, with the Compete claimed to be 0.2 seconds quicker in the zero-to-100km/h sprint than the Inspire’s 6.9s.

Though not outlined, the variances in range and performance are likely due to weight, with the Inspire fitted with more equipment than the Complete.
Standard equipment on the Inspire includes 18-inch wheels, LED exterior lighting, an active grille, roof rails, flush-fitting door handles, rear privacy glass, a wireless smartphone charger, heated and folding side mirrors, automatic wipers, power-adjustable front seats, and heated front seats.
Also fitted is a 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with in-built satellite navigation and always-on connectivity, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.

Stepping up to the Inspire adds a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch wheels, powered tailgate, surround-view monitor, interior ambient lighting, cooled front seats, driver-seat memory, front parking sensors, massaging front seats, a 16-speaker sound system, and a 13.4-inch head-up display.
Both electric cars feature a 100kW DC fast-charging maximum, as well as vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities.

Although Geely Australia is not expected to reveal pricing until closer to the EX5's local launch later this month, it is expected to be competitively positioned.
For reference, the Leapmotor C10 is the most affordable car in its class at $45,888 before on-road costs, while the S07 starts at $53,900, the EV5 begins at $56,770, and the facelifted Model Y is available from $63,400.
