LDV has added an eight-seat option to its petrol-powered Mifa people mover in Australia – while discounts for ABN business customers are available to private customers “for a limited time”.

- Eight-seat option added to Mifa Mode variant with second-row bench seat
- Seven seats with two individual second-row chairs remain for all other variants
- Priced from $46,971 drive-away
The 2025 LDV Mifa people mover has added an eight-seat option in Australia following local feedback.
LDV has added the eight-seat option to its entry-level Mifa Mode alongside the existing seven-seater, with other variants – the Executive and Luxe – continuing as seven-seaters with two individual chairs in the second-row.
The Kia Carnival and Hyundai Staria, main rivals for the LDV Mifa in Australia, offer seating for eight passengers as standard.
LDV Australia general manager Dinesh Chinnappa said the brand has been working with the factory in China “for some time” to deliver an eight-seat option to Australian customers, following the Mifa’s launch in late 2022.
“We have been working with the factory on an eight-seat option for some time and we are delighted that we can finally deliver this option to our customers,” Chinnappa said.
“The addition of the eight-seat version of the LDV Mifa people-mover is yet another example of the support the factory has for the Australian market.”
ABN business customer pricing for the 2025 LDV Mifa remains unchanged for seven-seat variants, with the Mode eight-seater joining the line-up at $47,990 drive-away.
However LDV Australia has extended these ABN drive-away prices to its private buyers “for a limited time” for in-stock vehicles, with private and business customers able to purchase the entry-level Mode seven-seater for $46,971, making it Australia’s cheapest new people mover.
The Executive seven-seater currently retails for $55,671 while the top-of-the-range Luxe seven-seater costs $63,501, for a saving of around $8000 to $10,000 over their usual private buyer drive-away pricing.
All LDV Mifa variants are powered by a “perky yet efficient” 160kW/360Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine matched to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive.
It has a 70-litre fuel tank requiring a minimum of 95RON premium unleaded.
Combined fuel consumption is rated at 9.3L/100km and CO2 emissions of 220 grams per kilometre – more than a diesel (6.5L/100km) or hybrid (5.8L/100km) Kia Carnival, but less than a petrol V6 model (9.6L/100km) which can be fuelled with 91RON unleaded.
A five-star ANCAP safety rating from testing conducted in 2022 covers the LDV Mifa line-up.
