Jeremy Clarkson – arguably the most famous face of motoring journalism – has admitted his dislike of new cars.
Former host of Top Gear and The Grand Tour,Jeremy Clarkson, has let loose about his dislike of modern vehicles.
During a Q&A session with the audience following a private screening of the final The Grand Tour episode, Clarkson was asked about whether his love for cars remains strong after a career as a motoring journalist and presenter on the world’s most popular car shows.
“After 35 years do I still have the same love for cars? No. Honestly, no. They’re all shit now,” Clarkson told the audience.
“They’re genuinely, genuinely… I look at, what – not all, but what am I going to say, I guess they’re all in the same boat on this – 80 per cent of them, 90 per cent? I couldn’t even identify them. I dunno what they are, I don’t care.”

“‘Anyway, we’ve got a new hybrid drive system!’ I just couldn’t give a shit,” he quipped.
Clarkson went on to praise old cars, explaining how much better they feel on the road compared to modern, heavier models.
After 22 years working together, Clarkson and his co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May, ended their partnership with a final episode of The Grand Tour.
However, a recent report suggests Amazon may be on the hunt for new presenters to continue the program.
