Holden VE Commodore stolen from Supercars team in Melbourne

Team 18 are asking the public for help after its Holden VE Commodore practice car was stolen from its Melbourne headquarters during the Australia Day public holiday weekend.
Team 18 of the V8 Supercars Championship is asking for public assistance after its Holden VE Commodore pit stop practice vehicle was stolen from its Melbourne headquarters.
According to the team's Instagram post, the car was allegedly stolen from its facilities in Mount Waverley – a suburb approximately 16km southeast of Melbourne – sometime between January 25 and 26, 2025.
"This car is impossible to miss – a Holden VE Commodore featuring Team 18 branding, Supercar wheels and tyres, plus a spike [and] fuel insert. We're extremely frustrated and disappointed by this, and we're asking for your help," Team 18 stated on Instagram.

The Supercars team said an unspecified reward will be given to any person with relevant information leading to its recovery.
For reference, some Supercars teams use road cars – such as the VE Commodore that was allegedly stolen – that are fitted with race-specific equipment to practice pit stops and other strategies ahead of race meetings.
