Vehicles in Hyundai’s new certified pre-owned program are covered for an extra year of warranty and roadside assistance coverage.

Hyundai is the latest car maker to roll out a certified pre-owned program for used cars in Australia similar to Toyota, Volkswagen and luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz.

Certified pre-owned vehicles will be sold through Hyundai’s dealership network across Australia, and are backed by an extra year of factory warranty coverage and roadside assistance.

To be admitted to the program, Hyundai Australia says vehicles must have less than 120,000km on their odometer, a complete Hyundai dealer service history, two sets of keys, and pass a 118-point check inspection, as well as a Digital PDI system check.

Those who purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle are required to complete the vehicle’s fifth-year scheduled service at a Hyundai dealership to validate the additional year of factory warranty coverage.

If you own a Hyundai vehicle that meets the criteria, you can visit your local Hyundai dealership before trading in or selling it as a single transaction to find out if your vehicle is eligible.

Customers will be required to sell their vehicle through a Hyundai dealership for it to be included in the program.
