Mazda has slashed prices across its best-selling SUV, the CX-5, with the promotional offer potentially saving customers between $2500 to $4300.

Prices have been cut across the entire 2024 Mazda CX-5 line-up by up to $4300, following reports the next generation of its best-selling SUV could go on sale globally by the end of 2025.

The entry-level Mazda CX-5 G20 Maxx is available at $37,990 drive-away, representing an estimated $2856 discount when compared to its $44,726 price after on-road costs in Victoria.

The G25 Maxx Sport – in both front- and all-wheel-drive variants – starts from $42,220 (FWD) and $44,825 (AWD), with customers potentially saving $2506 and $2502 in comparison to the estimated after on-road cost prices at $44,726 and $47,327, respectively.

Further savings can be seen in the Mazda CX-5 Touring (from $46,428), CX-5 G25 GT SP (from $52,015) and CX-5 G35 GT SP (from $54,620) – which could see buyers receive approximate discounts of $3131, $3131, and $3127, respectively.

While the top-spec Mazda CX-5 Akera – in G25 and G35 variants – sees the biggest estimated discount across the entire range at $4377 and $4381, respectively, with prices starting from $53,043 (G25) to $55,648 (G35).

Of note, Mazda Australia said the discounted prices are indicative of private buyers in Melbourne, and the estimated savings listed in this story are for Victorian buyers.

The special offer prices can change depending on an individual driver’s circumstances, and will differ based on the state and territory of registration.

The Japanese car maker said the offer lasts “until stocks last”, but did not specify if there was a specific cut-off date.

According to the latest VFACTS sales data, the Mazda CX-5 has been the brand's best-selling car, recording 19,510 deliveries over the first 10 months of 2024.

For context, the smaller CX-3 is the second-most sold Mazda vehicle, recording 15,433 in the same time, while its BT-50 ute ranks third at 12,800 examples sold so far this year.

In terms of the Australian market, Mazda’s mid-sized SUV is the third most-sold model in its category in 2024, closing the gap on the Mitsubishi Outlander (23,150) and trailing the top-selling Toyota RAV4 (48,073).
