F1 will officially return to the track in Bahrain for the pre-season tests, but what will the weather be like on those days? After the mega show in London, where all the teams presented their new cars for 2025, the teams will fly to the Sakhir circuit for a first taste of this season.

Next week, F1 will be busy with three days of testing: February 26, 27, and 28. The sessions will run from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. The tests will be available live on NOW and Sky Sport F1.

What weather can the teams expect in Bahrain? The Sakhir circuit, chosen for its mild weather compared to the cold conditions in Barcelona, might not meet expectations. According to the initial weather forecasts, the temperatures in the Gulf country will be decidedly more wintery.

Bahrain 2025 Test Weather
The pre-season test session in Bahrain is not expected to be hot: according to The Weather Channel:

Tuesday, February 25, 2025: Max 17° (day) / Min 13° (night)
Wednesday, February 26, 2025: Max 17° (day) / Min 14° (night)
Thursday, February 27, 2025: Max 18° (day) / Min 14° (night)
Specifically, Tuesday and Friday will be windy and/or partly cloudy. Wednesday is expected to be windy and/or partly cloudy. Humidity will range from 53% to 62%.

These are not ideal conditions for the teams, who would have preferred milder temperatures to better test the tire behavior at the start of the season and, crucially, the car’s cooling system. If the forecasts are confirmed, the tests could become a puzzle for all the teams, which would not be able to verify these elements with absolute certainty.

Why are the pre-season tests being held in Bahrain?
Formula 1 chose Bahrain over Barcelona for the pre-season tests due to the weather conditions. Typically, the Iberian Peninsula is colder in the early months of the year. In contrast, the Persian Gulf is warmer, and during the winter period, it only rains two or three times.

This year, we are facing an unusual climatic condition that could impact the performance of the cars on track. In any case, the pre-season tests will be interesting to watch.
