Agreement between Ferrari and Cadillac F1
The news, which had been circulating for weeks, was officially announced in recent days: Ferrari will supply its power unit and gearbox to the new Cadillac team starting from 2026, the year of its entry into Formula 1. The multi-year collaboration will end when the automaker, part of the American giant General Motors, is ready to debut its own hybrid V6 turbo engine on the track (certainly no earlier than 2028). The partnership has excited Maranello's CEO, Benedetto Vigna.

Benedetto Vigna's comments
Speaking during the Reuters Next conference in New York, the Italian manager, who has been leading Ferrari since September 1, 2021, enthusiastically welcomed the agreement between the Maranello-based company and the American automotive giant for the supply of F1 power units. "We are very pleased with this selection," said Benedetto Vigna, referring to the Ferrari-Cadillac partnership, "which makes us particularly proud. Moreover, we feel a great sense of responsibility because the success of these other F1 teams also depends on our engine. But racing is in our DNA. We have always been part of this sport, which is now becoming a form of entertainment, since the very beginning." – the chief executive officer of Ferrari continued.

Ferrari continues with two F1 customer teams
Thanks to the agreement with Cadillac, Ferrari will maintain two customer teams in the paddock beyond 2026. The Prancing Horse will lose Sauber at the end of the 2025 Formula 1 season, as Audi has acquired the Swiss team with the goal of transforming it into its factory team for the debut of its first F1 turbo-hybrid power unit, planned for 2026. The other confirmed customer, at least until the start of the 2029 season, is Haas.
