In an interview with Action Network, Jacques Villeneuve talks about the new season and gives his prediction: "The way 2024 ended, I would have bet a little more on Lando and McLaren. The problem will be the internal battle between him and Oscar Piastri. McLaren has not handled and will not handle the situation well, and the two drivers will eat up each other’s points."

"Lando should be the natural protagonist of the championship battle. But the internal battle and the fact that McLaren doesn't seem to manage this internal rivalry very well could make it fall more into the hands of Lewis, given how Ferrari ended last season."
