Ferrari will supply engines and gearboxes to the new Cadillac team starting in 2026

Cadillac team principal Graeme Lowdon revealed why that the team has chosen Ferrari as its supplier. The Italian Scuderia will provide power units and gearboxes for the new entrant in 2026, making Cadillac a customer team of the Maranello-based squad. This arrangement is contingent on both Formula 1 and the FIA approving Cadillac's participation on the grid.

The American team is expected to join the sport with the introduction of the new power unit regulations. Ferrari will supply not only Cadillac but also Haas, giving the Italian manufacturer two customer teams. As Graeme Lowdon explained, selecting the right power unit supplier is crucial for a successful debut—a goal he believes has been achieved with Ferrari.

Graeme Lowdon's statements
Discussing the new partnership with Ferrari, Lowdon said, "We are excited to collaborate with Ferrari as the supplier of power units and gearboxes for the Cadillac team. By doing so, we bring together two extraordinary legacies." He continued, "Choosing the right partner for the power unit is essential. We have great confidence in the passion, excellence, and extraordinary capabilities of Ferrari's people."

Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur expressed his enthusiasm for the arrival of a new American team at the highest level of motorsport. "It's fantastic to see the commitment of another American team supported by one of the most respected brands in the automotive industry, especially at a time when Formula 1 is gaining more and more popularity in the United States," Fred Vasseur stated.

"We are pleased to supply the team with our power unit and gearbox as the foundation of this technical collaboration. This means we will continue to have two customer teams in the Championship, with all the benefits that entails," Frédéric Vasseur concluded.
