As many fans know, their first on-track clash dates back to 2012, when Max Verstappen raced for Intrepid and Charles Leclerc for ART. During the second round of the WSK Euro Series, the two were involved in several on-track battles, culminating in the famous "Nothing, just an incident."

In 2012, Max Verstappen raced with your team, and there was that famous "clash" with Charles Leclerc that resulted in the "Nothing, just an incident." What can you tell us about it?
There was a lot of competition between the two of them. It didn't take much to ignite the spark. Let's just say that, in that episode, there was nothing premeditated or intentional on either side. Obviously, in that case, Leclerc’s move was right on the limit, and then what happened, happened. But there was no hidden agenda; these things flare up on the track and then die down just as quickly. In the end, there wasn't anything particularly serious. Obviously, there was a rivalry that made situations more intense, but nothing too heavy. They are, apparently, friends!

And what about that gesture in the closed park at Monza?
Well, there's respect, friendship… I don't know, I don't think so.

This refers to Max's thumbs-up when he got out of his RB20 and saw Leclerc arrive in the closed park.

Was it to "congratulate" him for taking points away from Lando in the championship?
Probably yes, because Verstappen is all about "your loss is my gain." He doesn't leave anything to chance, he's a cannibal, a true winner. If he has to run over you to win the championship, he will. Leclerc, on the other hand, would stop and help you up.
