Charles Leclerc gives verdict on first day of testing in Bahrain: "It's still too early for judgments"

The winter break from Formula 1 often leads to impatience and the risk of hasty judgments, even though only eight hours of testing have taken place in Bahrain. According to some, Ferrari has not started on the right foot, as Lewis Hamilton finished 13th and Charles Leclerc fourth, four-tenths behind Lando Norris's McLaren.
However, Ferrari is moderately satisfied with a day that went smoothly, showing progress from minor balance issues in the morning to a more positive afternoon session. Charles Leclerc himself urges caution after the first day of testing.
Charles Leclerc's comments
“It's great to be back on track,” was the Monegasque's first comment. “The whole team has put maximum effort into the SF-25 project during the winter break, so it's exciting to finally start pushing with the car.”
“As for today, it's always good to have a trouble-free session, without unpleasant surprises affecting the work plan. That said, it's still too early to draw conclusions about our performance. We will thoroughly analyze today's data and use what we've learned tonight when we resume work tomorrow.” – the Ferrari driver concluded at the end of the first day of pre-season testing, which was held at the 5.412-kilometre Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
