Could Ferrari have been more aggressive with wing flexibility? Vasseur's response in Singapore is clear: the saga of the ‘mini DRS’ continues.

“Mini DRS” and flexible wings: the McLaren saga hits F1, and during the Singapore team principals’ press conference, Fred Vasseur responded to journalists’ questions about it.

During Friday in Singapore, the political issues in F1 "overshadowed" the on-track activity. In the paddock, there was talk of McLaren and flexible wings, especially after the “offer” from the Papaya team to the FIA. During the press conference for the team principals, the topic of “mini DRS” was the main subject, the most discussed and talked about.

Among the Formula One protagonists, Ferrari boss – Fred Vasseur – certainly couldn't avoid commenting on the matter. Pressed by journalists, the Frenchman of the Italian team viewed the issue from Ferrari's perspective.

From the audience, Frederic Vasseur was asked: “Could Ferrari perhaps have been more aggressive in terms of rear wing flexibility? Will you push for this in the future?”

The Ferrari team principal replied, without showing any regret: “Honestly, we are pushing to the limit of what we consider legal. I can't ask the team to go beyond that limit,” he explained to journalists present in the F1 paddock at Marina Bay.

“But now we are reacting. As soon as we get clarification from the FIA, we will act according to their guidelines, provided they agree,” Fred Vasseur concluded during the usual Friday team principals’ press conference ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay street circuit.
