The days of Lewis Hamilton‘s debut at Ferrari were a whirlwind of emotions, with people brimming with excitement both outside Fiorano and inside the factory. In fact, as seen in some videos published by the Scuderia itself, some employees were apprehensive about meeting the Briton, while others even sought photos or an autograph. During those days, Esteban Ocon was also in Maranello to meet the Haas staff working in Italy and to try out the shared simulator.
The Frenchman described the warmth he witnessed upon the arrival of his illustrious colleague: “I had the honor of being in Maranello on the same day to work on the simulator. The atmosphere was incredible, people were ecstatic, and it was wonderful to see the passion for Ferrari and Formula 1 growing every day. It is clear that having the strongest driver of this generation in the most successful team is an incredible story. I can’t wait to duel with him on track,” the driver told Canal Plus.
