F1 2025: dates for car launches and filming days of new single-seaters

Once again, the Formula 1 season opens with the much-anticipated car launches. As has been the trend in recent years, the two central weeks of February are the preferred time for teams to unveil their new designs ahead of the three days of pre-season testing in Sakhir, Bahrain, from February 26 to 28.

As per tradition, the first team to announce its car launch date was Ferrari. During a press lunch in Maranello, the Scuderia's top management revealed that the successor to the SF-24, which will be entrusted to Charles Leclerc and newcomer, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, will be unveiled on February 19.

The second team to confirm its launch date was Williams. Valentine's Day will be dedicated to the Grove-based team, Alexander Albon, and Carlos Sainz, as the FW47 will be revealed on February 14 with a special livery for the occasion. The official livery, however, will be showcased during the full unveiling of all 2025 liveries on February 18 in London.

In this regard, Red Bull Racing has decided to present the RB21 at the same ceremony in the British capital. However, suspicion remains that—just as it has done in recent years—the team will display a mock-up quite different from the car that will hit the track for testing in Sakhir at the end of February.

Mercedes will not hold its usual launch at Silverstone. Instead, the W16 will be revealed in a virtual event on February 24, with its first track outing scheduled for the following day.

Racing Bulls, unlike in previous years when it hosted high-profile launches in the United States, will immediately put the VCARB02 on track with a filming day at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola.
