F1 Las Vegas GP: new trick to block view for non-paying fans – VIDEO
Today at 07:02 AM
After the enormous success of last year's historic first edition, Las Vegas is ready to host the event again and give fans a show that, whether you like it or not, is certainly unique in the crowded Formula 1 calendar.
Max Verstappen's potential fourth world title, unlike last season when the championship had already been secured, could also add an extra element of excitement, with the Dutch superstar clinching the title in Brazil thanks to a masterpiece comeback from 17th position.
However, only fans with a valid ticket will be able to enjoy the spectacle of the world's fastest cars on the famous streets of Sin City, in order to prevent what happened last year.
Twelve months ago, during the preparations for the first edition, the organizers had applied plastic blackout shields along some critical points of the circuit, such as the famous strip. However, some groups of non-paying fans managed to tear the films and watch the action on track.
This year, though, no one will be able to cheat, at least on paper.
No more holes in the fences
A video shared on social media by a Las Vegas resident shows how the promoter has decided to take a much more invasive approach, installing real metal sheets along pedestrian bridges overlooking the circuit.
Here's the link to the video in question.
