Oscar Piastri's McLaren was randomly selected for the more thorough technical checks that take place post-race, in addition to the standard checks, such as weight, which triggered George Russell's disqualification in Belgium.

In Azerbaijan, at Baku, the Stewards focused on several elements, particularly on anything that could indicate asymmetric braking, which was definitively banned with the technical regulation correction published in July.

Among the items listed in the technical checks were, in fact, "mechanisms that could generate asymmetric braking" and "pressures that do not exceed those applied through the brake pedal."

All the components analyzed were found to be in compliance with the regulations. Among them, there were not the front and rear wings that have caused so much controversy in recent days, components which had nonetheless passed the static checks required by the FIA.
